La Delicia de Alicia is a modern, elegant and experimental blend of the best of jazz, with elements of contemporary music such as funk and hip-hop in a different mix of rhythms such as afrobeat, latin jazz, and rhythms of the Middle East.

The Group was born in the city of Querétaro in the year 2012, bringing together the talents and the careers of four Mexican musicians and a French musician: Aldo Suarez on double bass, Roberto de la Peña on saxophone, Rafael Camacho on guitar and electronic media, Moises Ponce on drums and Guillaume Pascual in the accordion.                                                                                                                           This vibrant full of freshness musical ensemble has explored in different territories of music always having improvisation as an element for play and creativity.

For this occasion, La Delicia de Alicia will present a new repertoire which proposes a major approach to the contemporary jazz with that beyond search virtuosity seeks to create new sonic textures.

La Delicia de Alicia has achieved the production of two music albums: “52 North” in the summer of 2013 and a second production Studio: “Alicia Groove” that came to light in April 2016, in which we can already hear a sound more authentic and consolidated.

La Delicia de Alicia has had an outstanding participation in different music festivals, such as: International Jazz Festival’s summer 2016, the 3rd International festival of treaties of Teoloyucan 2015, festival international Balkytlan of music and gypsy dancers of the city of Mexico in 2015, the Music Festival at the Citadel 2014 in Zacatecas, the 6th festival of foreign communities Queretaro 2013 Festival de Jazz de Aguascalientes in 2012 and 2017 Summer Jazz Festival.
