Biblioteca Day Camp takes a trip to El Charco del Ingenio |

The Biblioteca, located in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico offers free day camps for children and teens in the community during the summer months. Recently the children and volunteers of the day camp went a field trip to the El Charco del Ingenio Botanic Garden.

El Charco del Ingenio , which operates as a non profit, is located on the outskirts of San Miguel de Allende and is comprised of 220 acres of protected and features 3 distinct zones, a dry chaparral, canyon and wetlands and artificial islands in the reservoir. The area also features a conservatory which contains many outstanding species of cacti and succulents and areas for recreation and ceremonies. Photos courtesy of Julieta Moreno
